Near Sonoma, California sits a unique series of outdoor gardens and art displays called Cornerstone Gardens. One garden named “Small Tribute to Mexican Workers” was designed by Mario Schjetnan, the leading landscape architect and one of the premier architects in Mexico. This is what he said about the garden: “The Garden, like the state itself, is cultivated and maintained by Mexican Immigrants every day.” An important message because sometimes it is easy to forget in places like Sonoma or Napa who is maintaining the vineyards, farms, restaurants, etc.
