It’s good to change things up. Last weekend I took my kids to my mom’s house and stayed the night. She lives about 30 miles away, so we see each other a lot, but I never go to her house and stay overnight. It was fun to change things up! We slept in her Airstream trailer in the backyard, had meals and ice cream together, and visited a zoo in the middle of farmland near Lodi, California. The highlight was a group of friendly, silly, beautiful lorikeets. A fun way to get some quality family time in as the summer ends and the school year begins.
