You probably know that I love the California wine country. One reason I love it so much is the variety of wineries, from small boutique wineries that can be visited only be appointment to the can’t-miss architectural statements that make a very big impression. Castello di Amorosa is one of those big wineries that you won’t forget. It even has a drawbridge, torture chamber, and lookout towers. While it may not exactly be to everyone’s taste, this 121,000 square foot castle made from materials imported from Europe, set on a hill in Napa Valley, definitely adds to the area’s wow factor.
I have much more coming about the wineries of Northern California, including a story about boutique wineries and an in-depth look at the Castello. In the meantime, tell me where you favorite wine country is and if you would like to visit this castle winery.
