For Your Weekend

Anyone ready for the weekend? This one is our last before the semester starts on Monday. Today we spent the day on campus getting inspired for the work to come, and we listened to Dr. Chris Emdin for close to two hours. If you’re involved in education, I highly recommend checking him out.

You know those times when the universe speaks to you exactly when you need it? That’s what happened today — his message of transforming pedagogy through valuing youth and embracing love in teaching helped me refocus on my work life. I feel pumped up and excited to connect with my students in new ways next week. First, a soccer tournament for Noah and potluck with Gabe’s new 1st grade class tomorrow.

Are you planning to watch the eclipse? I didn’t buy glasses so may try one of these alternatives. Have a peaceful and happy weekend. Some links for your weekend reading…xo
