Lake Tahoe is one of my favorite travel destinations. Because it changes with every season, and there’s no shortage of things to do outdoors, Lake Tahoe never gets old. Like many families in Northern California, we like to spend a week there in summer, at least one long weekend in the winter snow, and a weekend visit here and there in fall and spring. You’ll love Lake Tahoe whether you love the water, come for the hiking, or want to cozy up by the fire!
