Everlane jumpsuit reviews: I looove jumpsuits! I’m not a fan of shorts, jeans feel too heavy in warm weather, and dresses don’t always suit the occasion. But a jumpsuit feels like the perfect solution — they’re drapey and there’s no pinching and no legs showing. In fact, I wear them year-round (with a sweater in colder months) and consider them a staple for loungewear and working from home.

Fortunately, Everlane has lots of jumpsuit options, and I’ve got a few to tell you about.

First, you should consider which Everlane jumpsuit is right for you:

  • What type of fabric do you want?
  • Sleeves or sleeveless?
  • Casual or dressy?

Fabric: Everlane jumpsuits come in linen, Triacetate, and cotton. The linen is wonderful in summer, but it stretches out, wrinkles and can be a bit sheer. The Triacetate, also called “Japanese GoWeave,” is a sustainable fabric that’s cool, drapey, and doesn’t wrinkle easily. The cotton jumpsuits come in a super soft “luxe cotton” and a blend of 98% Cotton 2% Elastane.

Sleeves: Everlane jumpsuits come in a variety of styles, some with short sleeves, some sleeveless, and one with long sleeves. If you get a sleeveless one, keep in mind that you can change it up by adding a long or short-sleeved tee underneath or putting a sweater on over it like I do in winter.

Casual or dressy: You can make these your own by changing up the belt, adding jewelry, making them more or less casual with different shoes, etc., but I find the linen and cotton jumpsuits better for casual wear and the GoWeave jumpsuits easier to dress up.

And now, Everlane jumpsuits come in petite! This is huge — people like me either can’t wear regular size jumpsuits or need to get them altered because everything is too long (i.e. a saggy crotch!). They’ve released a petite version of their Japanese GoWeave slip jumpsuit in black and the linen square neck jumpsuit in two colors. Hopefully more styles and colors are coming soon!

Everlane Utility Drape Jumpsuit Review

Everlane utility jumpsuit review
Utility jumpsuit, cashmere scarf, earrings, loafers, glasses

This utility jumpsuit is my idea of the perfect jumpsuit — it’s a one-and-done outfit, and it’s super comfortable. Made of TENCEL, the fabric is soft and breezy yet thick enough to feel substantial. I’d love to see this in a long-sleeve version for the colder months and in a petite size for shorter people like me.

The jumpsuit has some nice details, like front chest pockets, a notched collar, and elastic around the waist so it always looks put together without being fussy.

This jumpsuit comes in black. They’re selling out fast!

How do I wear the utility jumpsuit?

I’ve been wearing this for Zoom meetings while working at home, and now that it’s getting colder, I often layer it with a turtleneck or even a crewneck or turtleneck sweater underneath and a scarf (as shown) for more warmth.

How does the Everlane utility jumpsuit fit?

The fit is a bit oversized. Like many of Everlane’s pieces, I take a size smaller than I really am, so for me, I have this in a size 2 (I usually wear a 4). It’s roomy without being boxy or unflattering (no dropped shoulders!), and the sleeves are the perfect length.

But because I’m 5’3″, it’s a little long for my body, but not as much as some of their other jumpsuits. The torso is just a little too long, so it bunches up a bit through the back and the crotch hangs down a bit low for my height, but overall, I don’t think the size is noticeably an issue. The legs hit just above my ankles, which is a nice change from all the cropped styles of recent seasons.

The verdict: Yes!! The fabric is a dream, the style is classic without being boring, and the fit is pretty spot-on.

Everlane Slip Jumpsuit Review (on sale!)

I just got this jumpsuit and I think it’s my favorite jumpsuit ever but the fit is off for me (see more below). I love the Triacetate fabric — it’s drapey and light, so perfect for summer wear yet substantial enough that you could wear it in other seasons, too.

This jumpsuit comes in black, navy, light pink, and clay– on sale for just $40!

Everlane slip jumpsuit review

How do I wear the slip jumpsuit?

This jumpsuit drapes so nicely that I can imagine dressing it up or down. I could dress it up with the double-strap block heel (one of my faves) and a cardigan, or dress it down with sandals and a tee underneath.

Everlane jumpsuit reviews: the slip jumpsuit

How does the slip jumpsuit fit?

The fit of the slip jumpsuit is a bit different from the other GoWeave jumpsuit (review below). It fits a little more true to size, meaning less oversized, but it still runs a little big, in my opinion. I typically wear a 4 in other brands and have this in a 2, which is what I wear in all Everlane jumpsuits. I prefer the length of this one over the GoWeave jumpsuit because it’s not as long and the legs are not as billowy.

I love the neckline! It’s more feminine and summery than the regular GoWeave jumpsuit. It’s not low cut at all and the straps hide my bra straps.

Despite how much I love this jumpsuit, I’m not sure if I’m going to keep it because it is a little long on my 5’3″ frame. The waist sits below my natural waist, the crotch hangs lower than it should, and the top shows a little bit of my bra on the sides. It still looks nice despite the off fit, but if I could get it taken up just one inch, it would be perfect.

Everlane does make petite jumpsuits now but in limited colors; this one comes in black in petite, but not the other colors, yet anyway.

The verdict: Yes! But if you’re petite, you may want to try the petite (in black only) or get it altered. Considering the construction and style, it’s an excellent deal (some colors for just $60!).

Everlane Japanese GoWeave Jumpsuit Review

 Everlane GoWeave jumpsuit review

This was my first jumpsuit from Everlane and is still the one I wear the most. I got it in black size 2 (sizing info below). It’s extremely comfortable and can be worn in a variety of ways.

The jumpsuit has a double-V, so the back has the same V as the front. There’s a small hidden zipper in the back that makes it easy to get in and out.

Their GoWeave jumpsuits are made from Triacetate, which Everlane calls their Japanese GoWeave fabric. It’s lightweight, wrinkle and stain resistant, and quick drying. At first, I almost returned it because it had so much static electricity, but that went away on its own.

There’s a removable belt that can be tied in front or back, but it often comes undone because of the softness of the fabric. When I use this jumpsuit for more casual wear, I leave the belt off.

How do I wear the GoWeave jumpsuit?

One reason I love this jumpsuit is that it can be worn so many different ways. I often put a long-sleeve shirt under it on cooler days (especially when working from home — it’s the perfect comfy outfit for Zoom meetings!). On warm days, I layer it with a short-sleeve tee or wear it by itself. I often wear it without the belt, but when I want to dress it up a bit more, I wear it with the belt tied in the front or in the back.

How does the Everlane GoWeave jumpsuit fit?

I’m 5’3″, so when I received this jumpsuit, it was too long in a few places. The crotch sat way too low, but the torso was also too long, so the sleeve holes were too big and exposed too much of my side. Also, the jumpsuit hit at my ankles, but the wide leg style is supposed to be worn cropped.

Because I liked the material and style, I decided to get it altered by bringing the shoulders up almost two inches, and now it fits perfectly.

The verdict: Yes! This is one of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe because it’s so comfortable and versatile, and I love wearing it when I’m working from home. If you’re petite, keep in mind that you’ll need to get it altered — just pull up on the shoulders until it suits you and mark how much extra fabric there is.

Their new slip jumpsuit is so cute — I love it in navy and clay with a white tee underneath.

Everlane Linen Squareneck Jumpsuit Review

Everlane linen jumpsuit review
Everlane linen jumpsuit in tomato (size down) & wrap sandals

I wore this linen jumpsuit like crazy last summer, and I think it’s a great piece for warm weather. I got it in tomato size 2 (sizing info below). As you can imagine, the linen is light and cool, but unlike other linen, it’s also very soft and not sheer.

The color is definitely more of a coral than red, although in real life it’s a little less pink that it appears in the above photo. Actually, the color was more saturated when it arrived but lightened when I washed it.

How do I wear the linen squareneck jumpsuit?

I usually wear this with flat sandals like the wrap sandals or the Day Crossover sandals and sometimes a light sweater like this linen cotton sweater or this soft cotton sweater thrown over my shoulders. I don’t think the more casual look of this jumpsuit goes well with heeled shoes.

How does the Everlane linen squareneck jumpsuit fit?

Like many Everlane items, this jumpsuit runs big, so I sized down to a 2, but I could have gone down even one more size. When I first got it, I found it to be too big all over, so I washed and dried it, and now the fit is perfect.

At 5’3″, I often find that the crotch of jumpsuits sits way too low, but after washing it, it shrank up enough that the crotch no longer sits too low. My only complaint is that the butt has too much material and therefore looks too baggy.

I love the torso of this jumpsuit — the band across the front fits around my chest perfectly with no gaping. The straps are nice and wide, and there are buttons on the straps on the back that allow you to adjust the jumpsuit to three different lengths (great for me because it could adjust the fit of the jumpsuit for my height!).

There is no zipper, so you have to pull this one on from the bottom up. The belt is removable, but I find the fit to be too shapeless without it.

The verdict: Yes, but I wish it were not so baggy in the butt and that the color was darker.

New: Everlane Linen Jumpsuit in Petite!

I’ve been waiting for a petite jumpsuit and am so glad they finally released some! As of now, they have petite jumpsuits in only two styles and two colors, so I wish they’d release more colors and styles.

The linen jumpsuit in petite fits much better on me than the regular fit. The jumpsuit is less baggy overall with a closer fit around the hips and butt, which is more flattering than the looser, baggy fit of the regular size. It’s also shorter so the crotch doesn’t sag as much, the inseam is shorter, and the top of the jumpsuit doesn’t hang too low.

If you’re 5’3″ or under, I’d recommend this!

Everlane Luxe Cotton Jumpsuit Review

The luxe cotton jumpsuit is a recent purchase. I got it in bone size XS (sizing info below). The fabric is a blend of 98% cotton and 2% elastane, and it’s extremely soft and comfortable. But the fit and color don’t suit me, so I’m going to send it back.

How to wear the Luxe Cotton jumpsuit?

You can wear this jumpsuit with the belt tied in the front or in the back. The legs are wide so I prefer to wear this with sandals with a 2-inch heel.

How does the Everlane Luxe Cotton jumpsuit fit?

Like their other jumpsuits, this one runs large, so I sized down to an XS. Because I’m 5’3″, the jumpsuit is too long in the crotch and slightly too long in the torso (which shows up as sleeve openings that sit too low below my armpits). Note that this is definitely a cropped jumpsuit, so if you’re tall, expect the legs to be pretty short.

The verdict: Not for me. I really wanted a comfortable cotton jumpsuit for summer, but the fit of this doesn’t work on my body and the color doesn’t suit my skin tone. I think it would work if I had a straighter figure and were at least 5’4″, or ordered it in a dark color that would look more put together.

You pull it off so well! I don’t know why I don’t feel like I can. At first I thought it was my height (5′ 5″) but my sister is shorter by 3″ and pulls them off flawlessly. I just don’t feel comfortable in them and that might be showing in my stance lol. Love all of them on you!!

Thank you, Murissa! I think finding one that fits right is key. Some jumpsuits don’t suit my body mostly because they’re made for taller women and the torso ends up being too long. They can be so comfortable though — I love a one-and-done option!
